In 2016 we opened the Bottom Shed, a rustic coffee shop and bistro in the lower barn, offering hot and cold drinks and light snacks to both residents, passing walkers and mountain bikers. Within walking distance of the village of Penmachno, and just a few minutes ride from the Penmachno Trail, the Bottom Shed is a rural, cosy place to grab a freshly-ground coffee and generous piece of locally-made cake.

During your visit to Plasglasgwm, enjoy exploring the five acres of garden and grounds, painstakingly restored and developed by the owners, now partnered with The National Garden Scheme.                      Wander through the recently replanted orchard of Welsh apple trees; meander back and forth across our stream to discover a variety of borders and natural woodland, and attempt to sit on our Big Bench high up in the top woods, with a far-reaching view down the valley of Glasgwm and beyond.

Restoration work continues in the grounds, with visitors able to find their way along the private paths through the woodland and garden areas of Plasglasgwm. The creation of new borders, rebuilding of original stone walls and planting of new hedges make it a magical place to explore – why not borrow a blanket and picnic in the garden!
